Van, himself, chose each of the 29 tracks included on this collection. He performs with many guest artists who reflect his Celtic, Rock n’ Roll and Blues roots. These include: Gloria (John Lee Hooker), Lost John (Lonnie Donegan), Shenandoah (The Chieftains), Crazy Love (Ray Charles), Sitting on Top of the World (Carl Perkins) and Early in the Morning (B.B. King). Two songs, Cry for Home with Tom Jones and Tupelo Honey with Bobby Bland have never been released prior to this CD. A must for Van’s many fans.
