The Wolfe Tones take us on a tour of Ireland - North and South - to perform 32 of their most popular songs. The lyrics take on a special significance when performed at historic locations. Joe McDonnell has a special poignancy sung on the streets of Belfast. As does Sunday, Bloody Sunday, performed at the Peace Memorial in Derry. The Patriot Game and Lament for the Lost are performed at Dublin's Glasnevin cemetery, where many of Irish heroes are interred. The Treaty Stone by the Shannon River in Limerick was chosen as the site for Only Our Rivers Run Free. The Men Behind The Wire was filmed outside Long Kesh. By seeing these, and many other songs, performed on location we gain a better understanding of the struggle of the Irish patriots. The fact that these songs could be filmed without government interference shows hope for the success of the Good Friday Peace process which Brian Warfield celebrates on This Is The Day.

The soundtrack from the DVD is also available on a 3-CD set which contains an additional 10 songs for a total of 42 tracks.
Highlights from the ten bonus tracks include recent hits We Are the Irish, Celtic Dreams and Chicago as well as the up-to-date version of A Nation Once Again (The 21st Century) and Never Beat The Irish (The Football Version) which recites the triumphs of the Irish soccer team. A must have for any supporters and not available anywhere else.
