The opening track, Deus Meus, quickly dispels any thoughts that the album will be a familiar trip through a collection of inspirational songs. Beginning with a haunting chant accompanied by a drum, lets us know we are truly about to take, as the subtitle suggests, “a spiritual journey” . Highlights among the 15 tracks include Morning Has Broken, My Forever Friend, Amazing Grace, Hail Glorious St. Patrick and Lord of the Dance.

The orchestral support provided by The Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra enhances the expressive vocals of the group. It is that dramatic flair that John McDermott brought back to the Tenors when he rejoined Finbar Wright and Anthony Kearns that gives this album its unique flair.
