Tunes are what get played at a session, and this CD is a great example of that process. The musicians are all masters, and that’s being modest of their instruments: Sharon Shannon, accordion; Frankie Gavin, fiddle; Michael McGoldrick, flute and Jim Murray, guitar. They combine to play 12 sets of tunes, many of which one or the other of them write as well as some classic traditional tunes.
