It’s OK Kirk, it was worth the wait. Lead singer/guitarist, Kirk McLeod wrote, with a little help from the band twelve songs for this album. It also features two instrumental tracks and closes with a cover of The Water is Wide. The songs are well worth a listen - One Foot, is a son’s confession to “One foot in Paradise; the other in the grave.” On Drive, a road song, he reflects on the state of this nation and observes “People say the media couldn’t get worse, but have you heard of William Randolph Hearst.” These concerns are lightened on It’s Alright - where everybody is the singer’s friend. Song summaries, of course, don’t catch the excitement of the bagpipe, fiddle guitar, bass and drums as they drive the song’s messages home and beyond.
