Mary’s first original album in five years features two songs she wrote with her son, Danny O’Reilly. Your Love, which has great instrumental backing, is a moving tribute to her mother who died in 2003. The other, Stand Up, is a rhythmic anthem to personal integrity that showcases Mary’s vocal style. Three tracks: The Land of Love, Straight As a Die and Japanese Deluxe were written by one of her favorite song writers, Noel Brazil, who passed away in 2001. She stays in touch with her traditional roots with a standout rendition of Siul a run. Her treatment of St. Kilda Again shows a mastery of contemporary style. Other tracks include Full Moon by Sandy Denny and two Bob Dylan tracks - Lay Down Your Weary Tune and Make You Feel My Love.
