This is a great album of original tunes by the busiest duo in traditional Irish music, Liz Carroll, fiddle and John Doyle, guitar. They have been touring together for the last three years since John left Solas. Liz is an extraordinarily talented, inventive player and composer, who has been awarded a National Heritage Fellowship. Many of the tunes on this album were written by either Liz or John. The album achieves a remarkable clarity from the fact that Liz and John are not only the performers, but they also produced the album. This is “pure drop” at its purest.
