This concert took place in the relatively intimate setting of The Iron Horse, a club in Northampton, MA. The band was able to capture the excitement of a live recording while controlling the quality of the sound. Combining guitars, bagpipe bass and drums the Celtic fusion istrumentation of the band matches their lyrics. The hits are here: One Last Drink, No More Stones, Another Round, Marti’s Last Stand, New Monthly Flavour, Gasoline and Long Way Home. In addition to celebrating numerous drinking bouts the band is also concerned with anti-war sentiment and environmental concerns - but all done as stories in song, never sermons. Of the two newly recorded tracks, Fiddle Set is just that - a set of Canadian fiddle tunes building in excitement as the crowd enthusiastically claps along. The song, What I’ve Done features bagpipe and guitar support for the tale of a displaced farmer who maintains an agrarian life in a suburban condo.
