Celtic Woman Members - Solo Releases
The Celtic Woman concert and stage show has been performing to sold-out venues worldwide over the past year. Each of the five young stars of the show, singers Chloë Agnew, Lisa Kelly and Méav, Órla Fallon (harp/vocals) and Máiréad Nesbitt, (fiddle), have all released solo albums, available now.

LISA KELLY
Lisa
Lisa has a background in musical theatre and it stands her in good stead on this album as she performs, rather than simply sings the songs. Carrickfergus is a perfect |
example of this. From her days as lead female vocalist in “Riverdance” she brings Lift the Wings and Home and The Heartland. She also performs The Deers Cry from Shaun Davey’s The Pilgrim.

ÓRLA FALLON
The Water Is Wide
This album features both of Órla’s talents - her glorious voice a well as her mastery of the Irish Harp. She plays harp on all the tracks and is accompanied by Peter Eades on keyboards, piano and |
percussion. Four of the tracks are in Gaelic. By limiting the instrumentation, Órla gives a particularly moving interpretation to the lyrics of two of Ireland’s poets, W.B. Yeats, Down by the Sally Gardens and Patrick Kavanagh’s Raglan Road.

MÁIRÉAD NESBITT
Raining Up
Máiréad was an accomplished fiddler before she undertook the acrobatics performed in Celtic Woman. On the album she is accompanied by traditional music giants, Manus Lunny, |
guitar, bouzouki and Colm O’Foghlu, low whistle, programming and keyboards as well as members of her family, who play various instruments. The album is an artful mix of beautiful airs, jigs and reels.

MÉAV
A Celtic Journey
Méav is accompanied by David Agnew, oboe; David Downes, uilleann pipes; along with harp, harpsicord and keyboard. Among the highlights are |
The Last Rose of Summer, Down by the Sally Gardens and Greensleeves, and a particularly moving version of Danny Boy. Méav has a spectacular voice and a great feeling for the lyrics.
