This DVD sets the legendary hero’s of Ireland within the history of the Celts, who in 300 BC ruled most of Europe. By the time of Julius Ceasar, the lands of the Celts were reduced to the islands of Great Britain and Ireland. Heroes of the early fight against the Romans include Vercingetorix and Queen Boudica, both of whom ultimately lost, making Ireland the last Celtic holdout. We then learn the stories of the greatest early Irish warrior, Cuchulainn. The three tales told on the DVD are the Death of Connula, The Cattle Raid of Cooley and the battle with Ferdia. The DVD ends with the great Irish legend Fionn mac Cumhail, better known by the English translation of his name - Finn McCool.
