Alison Kinnaird has been playing the Celtic harp for over 25 years and is recognized all over this world as one of its foremost exponents. The nature of the Celtic harp is that it is plucked. As a result even the soothing airs have a percussive quality. The beautiful Donald Gorm’s Lullaby is sung by Christine Primrose. Alison is also an artist who does large etching on glass. The tune, Palmsongs explores the connection between these two arts. A complimentary DVD shows an exhibit of her art at which Allison plays the tunes that inspired the work. The DVD also includes other harp tunes and interweaves with Alison.
