Natalie MacMaster
Natalie MacMaster was born on Cape Breton Island. A place so steeped in great fiddle playing that it is the only location in North America to have a “fiddle style” named after it, and she is a master of the Cape Breton style. She has been playing since the age of nine and now has her own band and their albums are world music chart toppers. Like all great musicians, Natalie seeks to expand the boundaries of her style and experiment with other forms such as jazz, Latin and bluegrass. Her latest album, Blueprint combines Cape Breton and bluegrass and features Bela Fleck (banjo) and Jerry Douglas (dobro).
