John McDermott
John McDermott, the Irish tenor was born to Irish parents living in Scotland who then immigrated to Canada. He burst on to the music scene with the release of his self produced, Danny Boy Collection. Unlike many tenors, John McDermott pays as much attention to the meaning of the lyrics as to the demands of the music. As a founding member of The Irish Tenors, John’s reputation grew to new heights. When his mother’s illness caused him to withdraw from the group, he redoubled his efforts releasing four solo albums. John has now rejoined the tenors and is devoting his efforts to promoting their new album Sacred.
