Gaelic Storm
Gaelic Storm skyrocketed to fame as the party band in the steerage scene in the movie Titanic. Gaelic Storm was formed on St. Patrick’s Day 1996, when Patrick Murphy (vocals, accordion) was joined by Steve Wehmeyer (bodhran) and Steve Twigger (guitar, mandolin) to play gigs at O’Brien’s Pub in Santa Monica. Current members also include Ryan Lacey (drums), Ellery Klein (fiddle) and Pete Purves (bagpipes). Known for their original, hard-driving, Irish drinking songs, Gaelic Storm has five albums in release.
